LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — North Las Vegas police shared a video on social media, reminding riders of e-bikes and e-scooters of the rules of the road.
The key message is that they’re motorized vehicles, just like cars, so they can be dangerous.
“Under Nevada law, riders have the same rights and responsibilities as drivers of motor vehicles,” police said in the video. “That means you must obey all the traffic laws, stop at the signals, and ride in a predictable, lawful manner.”
Officials with the North Las Vegas Police Department remind riders to always wear a helmet and, most importantly, stay alert. Police say that means no headphones and no looking at phones while riding.
