LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – North Las Vegas police are searching for a suspect accused of committing two hit-and-runs that left one person dead on Monday night.

According to the North Las Vegas Police Department, the first collision occurred at Civic Center Drive and Webb Avenue around 9:13 p.m. Arriving officers located an unresponsive female pedestrian suffering from serious injuries, and determined that she was hit by a vehicle.

Medical personnel would later confirm that she died at the scene.

A preliminary investigation revealed that white box-style work truck was traveling north on Civic Center when it left the roadway, mounted the sidewalk, and struck the woman before fleeing.

A second hit-and-run was reported involving the same truck on Tonopah Avenue and Arthur Street. However, no one was injured in the second crash.

Police say witnesses described the driver as a Hispanic man, who is suspected of impairment.
