LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A solar storm created a very unique sight in the skies over the Las Vegas Valley Tuesday night.
Earlier this month, space weather forecasters issued a strong geomagnetic storm watch after the sun ejected a huge burst of energy, also known as a coronal mass ejection.
Many valley residents shared beautiful pictures of the phenomenon on social media.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration said that the storm is not expected to cause major disruptions to radio or communication signals.
Though, they add that the phenomenon is expected to be visible in some parts of the country through Friday.
