LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – NV Energy announced Tuesday that its CEO and president, Doug Cannon, is leaving his role for a new venture.
Cannon will become the next president of AEP Transmission, a company that transmits power in Ohio and other states, according to a news release.
NV Energy said Brandon Barkhuff will assume the position. Barkhuff is no stranger to the state’s power company as he has served in many roles, including senior vice president, general counsel, corporate secretary, and chief compliance officer.
Barkhuff has lived in Nevada his whole life. The company said he “has a strong understanding of the needs of the customers and communities we serve.”
