LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A multi-vehicle crash on Friday, Sept. 13, just after 9 p.m. has left one dead, according to metro police.

LVMPD reported the driver of a 2012 Kia Soul died on Oct. 11.

The collision occurred at the intersection of north Buffalo Drive and Smoke Ranch Road.

Police say a 2007 Honda Pilot was traveling west on Smoke Ranch Road when they stopped at the red light on north Buffalo Drive. A 2016 Honda Accord heading north on Buffalo pulled up to the green light at Smoke Ranch Road. A 2021 Kia Soul was heading north on Buffalo Drive and approached a flashing yellow light turning arrow on Smoke Ranch Road.

When the Kia attempted to enter the left turn lane of the intersection, it collided with the Honda Accord, which pushed the Accord into the stopped Pilot.

Police identified Kristy Garay as the driver of the Honda Accord and Timothy Johnson as the driver of the Pilot.

Both Kia and Honda Accord drivers were taken to the hospital.

According to police, all drivers did not show any signs of impairment.

LVMPD confirms this as the 124th traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas Metro jurisdiction in 2024 so far.

The crash remains under investigation.
