LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — A man is dead and two others are injured after a rollover crash in the east valley Wednesday night, police say.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, a crash involving a Pontiac Grand Prix and a GMC Sierra occurred at North Hollywood Boulevard, south of East Bonanza Road, around 10:29 p.m.
Evidence at the scene indicated that the Pontiac was traveling south on Hollywood at a high speed, while the GMC was traveling north, according to police. As the Pontiac crossed the intersection, the driver lost control of the vehicle, which rotated counterclockwise and crossed left into the northbound lanes.
Police say the Pontiac then struck the front of the GMC, which overturned onto its passenger side.
Medical crews arrived, but later pronounced the driver of the Pontiac dead at the scene. The driver and passenger of the GMC were taken to UMC by ambulance and treated for minor to moderate injuries.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
