LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – One person is hospitalized after a home fire near the Historic Westside Wednesday afternoon.
Las Vegas Fire & Rescue said they responded at 4:41 p.m. after a call of a structure fire at 709 N. Valley View Boulevard. Officials say it’s a single-story residential structure.
Las Vegas Metro Police reported flames coming from inside the home. The first unit arrived within three minutes of the call. Crews started an offensive strategy. The ignition point was located and extinguished.
Crews said it was clear at 5:11 p.m. One female was transported to UMC Trauma.
LVFR said the cause is under investigation. A mattress was found on fire inside.
Officials say the American Red Cross is helping four adults, two children, four dogs and a cat.
