LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Have questions or want to learn more about the history of Las Vegas?
There is no better place to start than the Special Collections and Archives Department at UNLV.
Located in Lied Library, the Special Collections and Archives probably has it all, according to Director Sarah Quigley.
“We do that by collecting personal papers, organizational records, rare books and a limited number of artifacts,” she said.
From the famous to elite, the past and present, the Special Collections and Archives would be a good starting point for research or for curiosity when it comes to Las Vegas.
“We have something in the neighborhood of 17,000 linear feet, from the south end of the Strip to the north end,” Quigley said.
You don’t need to be a scholar or researcher to have access.
We are open to anyone who wants to come in,” said Quigley.
