LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The former Las Vegas City Councilwoman and Pahrump’s current Justice of the Peace Michele Fiore still performs duties, a spokesperson for Nye County tells FOX5.

Fiore is still on the job and oversees those accused of breaking the law in Pahrump Justice Court while she herself is facing charges of charity fraud.

Federal court documents show Fiore pocketed more than $70,000 from donors.

Court documents obtained by FOX5 show Fiore was engaged in a scheme to get donations to put up memorial statues for Officer Alan Beck and Officer Igor Solodo who were killed in the line of duty.

During this time, she served on the city council.

However, the documents showed Fiore did not act alone in her scheme and that a relative of hers acted as a co-conspirator.

Documents say Fiore told developers she could use city funds for the project and not the donations she collected.

The documents also went on to say that Fiore told donors to write a check to her at an account she oversees.

Fiore is accused of using those donations for personal use as well as paying for her daughter’s wedding.

Since leaving Las Vegas, Fiore has been appointed to Justice of Peace in Pahrump and is expected to be in federal court on Friday.
