LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Harry Reid International Airport is reporting a more than 7% decline in passenger traffic for January, according to new monthly data.

According to the report, the airport handled 4,021,130 passengers last month, a 7.9% decrease compared to the 4,365,745 passengers recorded in January 2025, according to the Clark County Department of Aviation.

Domestic travel accounted for the majority of traffic at 3,684,533 passengers, down 6.8% year over year. International passenger volume fell more sharply, dropping 19.2% to 272,145 compared to 336,734 in January 2025.

Southwest Airlines led all carriers with 1,622,209 passengers in January 2026, a 2.2% increase over the same month last year.

Alaska Airlines posted the largest year-over-year gain among major domestic carriers, rising 38% to 239,174 passengers. Spirit Airlines recorded the steepest decline, falling 73.8% to 123,081 passengers compared to 469,442 in January 2025.
