LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Santa visited young patients at Sunrise Children’s Hospital this week, bringing holiday cheer to children spending the season in the pediatric unit.

FOX5 viewer Keith Dudum helped Santa deliver nearly 100 gifts to patients, making their way room to room through the hospital.

Keymani Pross, 16, who has been in the hospital for several days, said she was excited about the visit.

“I think it’s important because some people in the hospital can’t really go out, like get fresh air, can’t see other things,” Pross said. “So the people that come here and dress up, do all this stuff for other little kids and stuff, it makes them happy.”

The gifts ranged from stuffed animals to toys, bringing smiles to children who may not be home for the holidays.

Dudum said he wanted every kid to feel special at Christmas.

“It was just so heartwarming to be able to give the gifts to the kids. And they’re really the brave ones,” Dudum said. “It’s not about me today. It’s really about the kids and their parents and seeing the smile and the joy of Christmas on their face.”

Dudum is also making an additional donation of $10,000 to Sunrise Children’s Hospital so that all children entering the hospital in December can receive a gift.

He said he hopes others across the valley feel inspired to give back.
