LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – One person is dead following a crash in Henderson.
Nevada State Police responded to the incident on Tuesday, Jan. 7 around 7:30 p.m. near the area of Galleria Drive on IR11 northbound and the on-ramp entrance.
According to NSP a white 2014 Chevrolet Tahoe was driving westbound on Galleria Drive, when a person began walking outside of a marked crosswalk area in the roadway.
The driver hit the pedestrian with the right front end of the vehicle.
Police say the driver remained on scene and cooperated with investigators.
The pedestrian was taken to the hospital. Medical professionals reported on Jan. 8 the pedestrian died due to their injuries.
The Coroner’s Office is expected to release the identity of the pedestrian.
NSP says this marks the fourth fatal crash with a total of four fatalities in 2025 so far.
