LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A pedestrian was left with life-threatening injuries Friday morning after a hit-and-run in the east valley.

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the crash occurred near Charleston Boulevard and Mojave Road around 5:57 a.m.

The vehicle involved did not remain at the scene, and the pedestrian was transported to UMC with life-threatening injuries, police say.

An investigation is ongoing, and the public is advised to avoid the area.
