LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A 49-year-old woman was critically injured after being struck by a car in the southwest valley Sunday morning.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the crash occurred around 11:18 a.m. on West Post Road, west of South Fort Apache Road.
An initial investigation found that the woman attempted to cross Post Road outside of a crosswalk, and entered the path of a Toyota 4-Runner, which struck her head-on.
Arriving medical crews transported to pedestrian to UMC Trauma, where she remains in critical condition. Police say the Toyota driver remained at the scene and is not suspected of impairment.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
