LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A pedestrian was killed in an overnight crash in the southeast valley Sunday.

According to Las Vegas Metro Police, the crash occurred at East Desert Inn Road and Pawnee Drive around 12:03 a.m. An investigation found that a 2022 Nissan Altima was traveling west on Desert Inn, while a pedestrian was crossing the road outside a marked crosswalk.

The pedestrian was struck by the Nissan and later pronounced dead at the scene.

The Nissan driver remained at the scene and is not suspected of impairment.

“The pedestrian’s death marks the 17th traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department’s jurisdiction for 2025,” police said in a release.

The crash remains under investigation.
