LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas police released a photo of the vehicle involved in a deadly east valley hit-and-run crash.
Police said the crash happened the night of November 29. Officers said a dark-colored SUV struck a pedestrian crossing Flamingo Road, east of Euclid Street, outside a marked crosswalk.
The vehicle would flee the crash.
Arriving medical crews pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene. She was identified as Maria Garcia, a 72-year-old.
Police say the suspect vehicle is a dark-colored small to midsize vehicle with damage to its front end.
“The pedestrian’s death marks the 145th traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department,” LVMPD noted in a release.
