LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Nye County deputies say they located an illegal marijuana growing operation.
The sheriff’s office says they discovered it on Aug. 30 in a remote area of Round Mountain. Deputies were able to eradicate around 2,000 pounds of marijuana plants of various growing stages.
Chemicals used in the growing process were also found – some may be illegal for use in the United States.
Four people ran away when deputies showed up. They were not caught.
The property owner was interviewed and now faces felony charges.
