LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Nevada State Troopers diverted drivers on Interstate 15 after a small plane made an emergency landing just south of Las Vegas.
The plane made its landing on northbound I-15 near Jean shortly before 3 p.m. Saturday. Police blocked off all northbound lanes and redirected drivers onto Las Vegas Boulevard.
The single-engine plane with two people inside had to make the landing after the plane experienced mechanical issues, according to officials.
Metro police said an instructor and a student pilot were the two people on board. No one was hurt on the plane or on the ground.
Officials took the plane off the road at about 4:30 p.m. and northbound traffic began flowing again about an hour later.
