LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – North Las Vegas police identified a 16-year-old as the suspect in a deadly shooting.
Police said Sunday, Dec. 29 around 9:05 a.m., officers responded to an apartment in the 2900 block of East Centennial Parkway. Police received reports of an illegal shooting.
When officers arrived, they found an unresponsive man suffering from a gunshot wound in the stomach area.
The suspect fled before officers could arrive. Medical responded and said the man later died.
NLVPD detectives took over the investigation. Detectives learned that the victim and the suspect knew each other and said the shooting was a result of a disagreement.
Police believe Arnaz Jones is armed and extremely dangerous.
“Anyone who sees Jones should not approach him and should call 911 immediately,” police said. “Jones is a Black male juvenile, with a medium length afro-style black hair and brown eyes. He is 5 feet 6 inch tall and weighs 140 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray hoodie sweatshirt with red, black and white writing on the front and back.”
The identification of the deceased, along with the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
