LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Three students have been robbed outside Clark County School District schools during the first week of school, police tell FOX5.

According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, an investigation has been launched into the robberies, which occurred outside Durango High School, Spring Valley High School, and Valley High School. All three crimes occurred during dismissal time at each school and off campus.

Police say the suspects are believed to be a group of individuals looking to commit crimes of opportunity. Police said they are actively following up on leads regarding the cases.

LVMPD Deputy Chief Jose Hernandez emphasized that these crimes are an “isolated incident.”

FOX5 has reached out to CCSD to learn more about each crime, but has yet to hear back. It wasn’t immediately clear if parents at the impacted schools were notified of the robberies.
