LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas police are investigating after a body was found in an empty lot near downtown on Sunday night.
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded around 9:14 p.m. to the 800 block of East Sahara Avenue, where officers located the body. It was determined that the male victim was a victim of homicide and appeared to be suffering from a gunshot wound.
The LVMPD Homicide Section has taken over the investigation, which is ongoing.
The identification of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.
