LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A pedestrian is dead after a crash in northeast Las Vegas on Friday morning.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department received initial reports of a crash at 6:44 a.m. on Lake Mead Boulevard and Lamont Street, near Monaco Middle School.

The crash involved a vehicle and a pedestrian, who was pronounced dead at the scene. The vehicle remained at the scene, and police say that impairment is not suspected at this time.

The public is advised to avoid the area while the investigation is underway.
