LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas police are searching for an inmate who escaped a medium-security facility outside of the valley over the weekend.
The inmate, identified as Alan Woodward, is believed to have fled Southern Desert Correctional Center between the hours of 10:00 p.m. on Saturday and 6:00 a.m. on Sunday.
He was further reported missing when he checked in for work duties around 10:00 p.m., but never called the corrections officer to confirm that his shift was completed in the morning.
Woodward is described as a white male adult, who is 5′7″ and around 230 pounds. He is also bald with a gray beard and has tattoos on his right arm.
A booking photo of the suspect was not immediately available.
