LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Polls are now open across the state of Nevada as voters prepare to decide candidates in key races for November’s general election.

On Tuesday, polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. To find a polling location and wait times, check out this map. Additionally, all polling locations will also serve as drop-off locations for mail ballots.

Voters not yet registered can do so on the Secretary of State’s website.

Once polls close, the top two candidates will proceed to the General Election in November. However, if any candidate receives at least 50% of the vote, they will be named the winner of the race and will not have a contender in November.

Earlier this year, the Secretary of State’s office announced a new method to bring results down faster. Clerks and registrars will begin tabulating Early Voting and mail ballot returns at 8 a.m. on election day and will provide initial election results to the secretary for verification.

After the last voter has voted, unofficial results will be released.

Throughout the day, FOX5 will be tracking election results in real-time and highlighting high-profile races.
