LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The Las Vegas Raiders aren’t just preparing for their own season. They’re helping build the future of girls’ flag football.

High school all-stars teamed up with the Silver and Black on Thursday to coach a new wave of middle school players.

Raiders help High school all-stars with uniforms to coach the next generation of players.

This year’s Inspire Flag Football All-Stars received official uniforms, headgear, and gloves from the Raiders before taking on their next job.

After the presentation, the all-stars hit the field to coach middle school girls through drills and a flag football clinic aimed at inspiring the next generation.

The Raiders have donated equipment before, but this is the first time they’ve paired it with a full camp.

“Oh, this is so important. With the way that flag football is blowing up, it’s so important for us to be out in the community. To continue to push that message, empower the girls, inspire the girls that they can play flag football. They can be whatever they want to be in the world of sports,” said Marli Bartlett, football development manager for the Raiders.

The all-star weekend is set for May 30, where the athletes will be able to play in front of college recruiters.

For the Raiders, their next event this spring will be a Silver and Black Youth Flag Championship.
