LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Raiders are getting additional help in the quarterback department following an injury in Sunday’s game.

According to NFL.com, the team has signed quarterback Desmon Ridder from the Arizona Cardinals’ practice squad.

The move comes after Raiders QB Aiden O‘Connell hurt his thumb during Sunday’s loss to the Rams.

Gardner Minshew came in to replace him during the game, so it‘s likely Ridder will serve as Minshew’s backup.

Ridder has starting experience in the NFL with the Atlanta Falcons.
