LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A Las Vegas jury has found Real Water, Inc. liable for damages caused by chemically contaminated alkaline water sold to consumers.
According to the press release shared with FOX5, over 60 victims who suffered long-term health complications will be compensated with one of the largest product liability awards in U.S. history.
FOX5 previously reported a Clark County jury awarded more than $5 billion for victims who got sick from drinking Real Water.
Clients being represented by a Las Vegas attorney are speaking about their health scare related to Real Water.
The evidence presented in the trial linked the product to acute liver failure, autoimmune diseases, and other severe health complications.
Eglet Law referred to the verdict as a historic courtroom victory.
“This case was about holding corporations accountable when they knowingly endanger the public,” said Robert Eglet, Eglet Law attorney. “Real Water marketed itself as a healthy product, but in reality, it was poisoning people. This verdict sends a clear message— companies that put profits over people will face the full force of justice.”
