LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The UNLV women’s golf team finds itself in ninth place after Monday’s opening two rounds of Texas’ Betsy Rawls Invitational at The University of Texas Golf Club (Par 72, 6,157 yards).

REBEL ROUNDUP: Seniors Hina Matsui (+11) and Mayumi Umezu (+11) lead the Rebels (+49) in a tie for 26th. They are followed by senior McKenzi Hall (+14) in a tie for 42nd, sophomore Zi Yu Foong (+15) in 47th and senior Toa Yokoyama (+16) in a tie for 50th.

TEAM & INDIVIDUAL LEADERS: On a tough day that saw the entire 14-team field shoot above par, the No. 7 host Longhorns jumped out to the day-one team lead at 7-over 583. The individual lead is held by Texas’ own Cindy Hu at 3-under.

UP NEXT: The tournament concludes with Tuesday’s final round of play. Tee times will start at 6:15 a.m. PT/8:15 a.m. CT.
