LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Nevada officials heed a warning of a texting scam sweeping the nation.
The victim would get a text that looks like it’s from the Nevada Department of Transportation. It advises that the person owes an unpaid toll and threatens legal action unless it’s paid.
The problem? Nevada does not have any toll roads. It’s a scam.
Those who get the texts should report it to the Federal Trade Commission then use the phone’s report and delete function.
