MAUI, Hawaii (FOX5) — A Red Cross volunteer from Southern Nevada is in Hawaii helping with recovery efforts.

The volunteer has been on Maui for the last few days. She says she is expected to be there for the next few weeks.

There is still a flood watch in effect for Maui and the Big Island. Parts of Maui have seen nearly 50 inches of rain in the last week with flash flooding still possible even when lingering storms are light.

The Red Cross encourages anyone to donate to send monetary donations to the organization. Those interested can call 1-800-RED-CROSS or 1-800-733-2767.
