LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Nevada State Police are investigating a deadly motorcycle crash that shut down the road leading to Red Rock Canyon overnight.
The crash occurred around 11:14 p.m. near mile marker 3 on State Route 159, an access road to Red Rock Canyon that starts at Blue Diamond Road and transitions into Charleston Boulevard just west of the 215.
Both east and westbound lanes were closed for several hours while an investigation was underway. As of 4 a.m., all lanes have reopened.
A preliminary investigation revealed that the crash involved a single motorcycle. One adult male was confirmed dead, but has yet to be identified.
Troopers are expected to provide additional details on this crash following the conclusion of their investigation.
