LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – It was a busy year for home buyers and sellers in 2024.

According to Las Vegas REALTORS, more homes were sold in 2024 than the year prior and prices were near the all-time high.

LVR says the median price of existing single-family homes in Southern Nevada during December was $475K. This is up 5.6% compared to 2023, when it was $449,900.

The record was set in May of 2022 with a price of $482K.

Condos and townhomes sold last December were at $290K. The high last year for these homes was in October at $315K.

This is up 7.4% compared to December 2023 when it was previously $270K.

“December is traditionally one of the slowest months of the year for the housing market, and these statistics reflect that,” Kypreos said. “All things considered, I think this month’s LVR statistics paint a picture of a fairly stable and relatively healthy housing market heading into 2025.”

LVR says real estate transactions totaled to nearly $1.1 billion for homes.
