LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) -The number of people flying in and out of Las Vegas remained steady last month, according to a report from Harry Reid International Airport.
LAS served 4,881,617 passengers in April, a 1.5% increase over the same month in 2023. That brings the year-to-date count to 18,610,436 people, a 1.6% rise.
International travel saw the biggest year-over-year change, with a 17.1% increase. Domestic travel was up 0.7%, while west side and helicopter traffic dipped 7.3%.
Carriers Delta (12.5%), Southwest (11.3%) and United (10.7%) all saw double-digit increases over their respective passenger counts one year ago. An outlier was Spirit, which saw a drop of over 20%.
The airport set a record for passenger traffic in 2023 and is on pace to eclipse that total in 2024.
