LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Las Vegas continues to make itself known as the Sports Capital of the World.

Brett McMurphy at the Action Network reports that Las Vegas’ Allegiant Stadium will host the College Football Playoff title game in 2027. A source told McMurphy that the game being hosted in Las Vegas is a “lock.”

Clark County’s official X page acknowledged the report with the hashtag #SportsCapital.

Officials reportedly wanted to host the CFP game in Las Vegas in 2025, but conflicts with the Consumer Electronics Show barred it from going forward.

The news comes after Las Vegas hosted the Super Bowl in February and is set to host the NCAA Men’s Final Four in 2028.
