LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – The Raiders have found their new general manager, according to reports.

Ian Rapoport with NFL Network reports that former Chargers GM Tom Telesco will be the new GM with the Silver & Black. The team has yet to announce the move.

Last week, the Raiders decided to keep Antonio Pierce in the head coach slot after he was named the interim head coach, replacing Josh McDaniels.

Telesco was the general manager of the Chargers for the last ten years before he was let go in December — ironically right after the Raiders blew the Chargers out at Allegiant Stadium. He is familiar with the Raiders roster having been a division rival that played them twice a year.

Telesco is known as someone who is great at building rosters and making smart draft choices.

The other two finalists for the job were interim GM Champ Kelly and Colts assistant GM Ed Dodds. It’s not known yet if Kelly is going to remain with the Raiders in the assistant general manager job that he held under previous GM Dave Ziegler.

This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
