LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – An arrest report obtained by FOX5 is revealing the moments that led up to the death of a woman found in a dumpster earlier this week.

Lincoln Boe, 18, was arrested after confessing to police that he killed 60-year-old Gina Broome behind a business in the 9000 block of West Sahara Avenue on April 29.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department arrived at the scene around 7:35 a.m. after receiving reports of a possibly unconscious person in a “dumpster enclosure.” Police confirmed that the victim was Broome, and declared her dead at the scene.

The Clark County Coroner would also identify Broome, and determine that she died from a dozen sharp-force injuries to the front and back of her upper body. Her death was ruled a homicide.

The report also notes that “bloody drag marks” appeared to stretch the length of the enclosure, and that Broome was drug out of view of anyone passing by. The marks were also concealed with two trash bags and pieces of cardboard.

A 2003 Lexus 300 was also discovered at the scene with no plates flat tires, and two shattered front windows. Additionally, the back driver-side window appeared to have three or four bullet holes in it, according to the report. Police determined that the vehicle was tied to two different events, in which it was identified as “suspicious” and parked behind the business on Sahara.

A surveillance video obtained by detectives would show Broome alive on Saturday, April 27 at 3:02 p.m., and Boe parking behind the business around 4:01 p.m. Boe could be seen throwing things away in the dumpster enclosure, before entering the business and asking an employee if “the cameras work out back,” the report notes.

Around 4:29, a Toyota Prius would pull up and park near the dumpster, while a head could be seen popping up from behind the enclosure. Boe would then exit the enclosure, missing a hoodie he was previously seen wearing.

Detectives noted that Boe looked “confused as to what to do” and had stopped to rest against a trash bin before leaving the scene.

On Thursday morning, an officer would also issue Boe a warning about parking near the business while it was closed. Boe would be taken into custody later that day, during which officers were able to identify his shoes as a match for bloody footprints found at the scene.

During an interview while in custody, Boe would tell officers that he moved to Las Vegas from Idaho to “get away and have some freedom.” When asked about why he entered a store near the murder scene to ask if the cameras were working, he claimed that someone had broken into a nearby car and he was “trying to be a good Samaritan.”

After initially denying involvement in the murder, the report states that Boe claimed Broome was “yelling at him” after he had given her money to buy cigarettes. He also claimed that she began to walk toward him and “claw at him,” and he asked her to back off twice before stabbing her once.

He also told officers that Broome was “tweaking out” after he had stabbed her, so he dragged her to the other side of the enclosure, where she would later be found by police. He also admitted to using cardboard and trash bags to conceal her body.

When asked why he didn’t try to kick Broome away if she was attempting to attack him, Boe would tell police officers that he had “weak legs.”

A search warrant obtained for Boe’s car would also reveal the knife used during the murder.

Boe was booked into Clark County Detention Center and is currently facing a charge of open murder with a deadly weapon. Boe is due in court on Tuesday, May 7.
