Rider ‘seriously’ injured, driver sought after east Las Vegas hit-and-run

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — Nevada Highway Patrol is looking for a driver involved in a hit-and-run that seriously injured a rider in early August.

State police say the incident happened on August 7 around 1 p.m. as the suspect was seen leaving a Dotty’s located near Boulder Highway and Lamb Boulevard. According to a media release, he drove a light-colored 2013 to 2019 Cadillac.

Police say he started to exit the private drive next to Mayorga Street onto northbound Boulder Highway when he struck a female rider on an electric scooter. The driver fled the scene and according to NHP, his vehicle may have front-end damage.

Police did not provide an immediate update on the rider’s condition.
