WASHINGTON D.C. (KOLO) – U.S. Senator Jacky Rosen is joining fellow Democrat Catherine Cortez Masto in throwing her support behind a constitutional amendment that would remove immunity from criminal prosecution from presidents.
Cortez Masto announced her support for the No Kings Act last week.
“In the United States, no one – not even the President – is above the law,” said Senator Rosen. “The Supreme Court’s shameful decision to give Presidents absolute immunity was misguided, which is why I helped introduce a constitutional amendment to make it absolutely clear that the rule of law applies to every American.”
