LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — RTC is recognizing Transit Worker Appreciation Day on Wednesday, honoring the operators, mechanics, security officers, custodians and staff who keep Southern Nevada moving.
The RTC of Southern Nevada is marking the day with its transit contractors by providing prizes and gifts donated by community partners and local businesses.

RTC says its transit and paratransit system delivers more than one million trips each week and relies on 3,500+ employees and contractors to keep service running safely and smoothly.
The agency is also encouraging the public to share a simple “thank you” or kind word with transit workers today.
