LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A security guard was shot during a struggle with alleged shoplifters in the west valley, the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department says.
Police said the shooting happening Saturday around 1 p.m. in the 800 block of North Decatur Boulevard near Washington Avenue. Officers who arrived said they located a male suffering from a gunshot wound in a parking lot.
Police said the suspects fled before officers could arrive.
Detectives learned that the victim was a security guard, and shooting happened during a struggle with suspected shoplifters.
“The investigation is ongoing,” police said.
