LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – A semi truck crashed into a disabled vehicle on the I-15 near Moapa Monday morning.
Nevada State Police said the crash occurred just after 7:30 a.m. at mile marker 106 in the northbound lanes. The semi truck plowed into an abandoned vehicle parked in the far right lane.
Upon impact, the semi truck flipped onto its right side.
The hauler started leaking diesel fuel as a result of the crash. There is no danger to the public, according to the state police spokesperson. Hazmat crews have been called out to clean up the oil.
Clark County fire crews said more than 1,000 gallons of fuel spilled out of the semi.
Police said no injuries were reported. The northbound lanes are closed as the hazmat crew works to clear the scene. Traffic is being diverted off at both the I-15 and mile marker 64 and mile marker 93.
