CARSON CITY, Nev. (KOLO) – Nevada Senator Lisa Krasner has introduced a bill that would designate Jan. 27 as Holocaust Remembrance Day in the state of Nevada.
Senate Bill 96 was introduced before the Committee on Government Affairs.
Krasner says she hopes to enhance education on the Holocaust and honor its victims.
“By enacting International Holocaust Remembrance Day into Nevada law, we are sending a clear message that Nevada is committed to remembering the past, educating the present, and safeguarding the future,” she said.
