LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Children as young as 6 years old died in a Las Vegas hit-and-run crash.

The crash happened at 5:13 p.m. near Flamingo and Pecos Nov. 9. The crash involved four vehicles.

Police said the driver of a Lexus approached the intersection at a high speed and ran the red light, hitting a 2019 Mitsubishi Outlander in the intersection.

Police said the Mitsubishi had a driver, a 30-year-old woman, and four juveniles inside. Two of the children were taken to the hospital with critical injuries and later died.

The Clark County coroner identified them as 6-year-old Taliyah Lewis and 11-year-old Dante Lewis. Both died from blunt force injuries and their manner of death was ruled an accident.

Two other children suffered minor injuries and were treated and released, police said. The driver was also treated for minor injuries.

Police have since identified the hit-and-run driver in the crash.

Family members have organized a GoFundMe to help them through this difficult time.
