LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Updated flu and COVID-19 vaccines are now available at Southern Nevada Health District clinic locations.
The health district says the vaccinations are for anyone six months of age or older and both vaccines can be administered during the same visit.
According to SNHD, during the 2023-2024 season, there were 88 flu-related deaths in Clark County with over 1,400 hospitalizations. Those numbers are significantly higher than the flu season prior. Between 2022 and 2023, the county recorded 48 deaths and 859 admitted to the hospital.
SNHD says most health plans cover the vaccines. The CDC’s Vaccines for Children Program and the 317 Adult Vaccine Program help those who may not have insurance.
