LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – FOX5 sources have confirmed that Special Agent in Charge Spencer Evans has returned to the FBI.

In January, Evans was let go after serving 20 years with the FBI in Las Vegas, following reports that senior officials were being forced to resign or retire to avoid being fired.

An FBI spokesperson told FOX5 Evans resumed his duties as special agent in charge last week.

“SAC Evans resumed his duties as SAC Las Vegas last week,” an FBI spokesperson said.

FBI officials announced Jeremy Schwartz as the Acting Special Agent in Evans absence.

Schwartz and Evans assisted in the investigation into the Cybertruck explosion outside of Trump International Hotel on New Year’s Day.
