Sphere reports increased revenue as Backstreet Boys residency lengthens

LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The company behind the Las Vegas Sphere released its second-quarter earnings, highlighting financial results from 2025.

For the three months ending in June, combined revenues from both Sphere and MSG Networks were reportedly up by $9.3 million, increased by 3% when compared to the same time in 2024.

Officials credited increases to “an increase in the number of corporate events” alongside additional residencies. Additionally, the company’s operating loss was reported at $50.2 million, a 21.2% improvement from 2024’s report of $71.4 million.

“We continue to execute our strategic priorities to drive long-term profitable growth for our Sphere business,” said James Dolan, chairman and CEO of Sphere Entertainment. “At the same time, we have been making progress with our expansion plans and remain confident in the global opportunity ahead.”

Among the highlights, Sphere officials said the Postcard from Earth Sphere Experience had reached a milestone, having sold four million tickets since its Oct. 2023 debut.

The legendary pop band has been playing to sold-out crowds and will continue the residency into 2026, with a New Year’s Eve show planned as part of the newly added batch of shows
