LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — More than 100,000 Clark County School District students have the chance to shape the next look of the Sphere.

The third-annual Sphere XO Student Design Challenge has kicked off. This year’s theme is Pi Day. Sphere officials say they are challenging students’ math skills to the table.

“This is an amazing opportunity for CCSD students to showcase their artistic talents and creativity on the world’s most unique canvas,” said CCSD Superintendent Jhone Ebert. “The District is proud to continue its partnership with Sphere to bring out the passion and artistry from within our students. As a former math teacher, I look forward to seeing the creative ways students will celebrate Pi Day.”

Winners will be announced next year on March 11, just in time for Pi Day, or 3/14.
