RENO, Nev. (KOLO) – A new LendingTree study has found that Nevadans pay some of the highest electric bills in the country.

The study, which can be found here, found that Nevada residents have the ninth highest electricity costs in the nation, with 21.4% being unable to afford their bill.

The average electricity bill in Nevada is $204.03 in August of this year, a difference of 7.9% from $221.65 in 2023.

The study found that Connecticut residents have the highest electricity bills in the nation, with an average of $254.47 as of August of this year.

Residents of Maine, meanwhile, have the lowest electricity bills in the nation, with an average of $133.94 as of August 2024.
