LAS VEGAS (FOX5) — The NFL owners’ meetings wrapped up late Tuesday, and the Las Vegas Raiders left Phoenix with what team officials called several major victories — including a Super Bowl return to Allegiant Stadium and approval of owner Mark Davis’ succession plan.
Succession plan approved
Davis said the league approved a plan that includes minority owner Egon Durban, who recently purchased a stake in the franchise.
“Egon Durban bought seven percent of the team, and he has an option to purchase a controlling interest in the team should I decide to sell,” Davis said.
Super Bowl returning to Allegiant Stadium in 2029
The NFL also announced the Super Bowl will return to Allegiant Stadium in 2029, a move Davis said he pushed for after Las Vegas hosted Super Bowl 58.

“Truly excited about that,” Davis said. “That was a relationship with the Raiders, the National Football League, and the Las Vegas Visitors and Convention Authority working together as one. Super Bowl 58, we knocked it out of the park. We set the bar for what it means to host a Super Bowl, and I told them we promised to raise the bar for Super Bowl 63.”
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell praised Las Vegas’ previous hosting performance and said he expects the city to top it.
“I’m a big believer that every city raises the bar to the next, and I have no doubt Las Vegas will raise the bar from their previous Super Bowl,” Goodell said. “I think they’re probably setting a new bar across the league.”
