LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) – Henderson police have arrested a man in connection with several gunshots being fired at a Henderson park last week.

On May 21, at about 10:45 p.m., the Henderson Police Department was dispatched to Mission Hills Park, 551 East Mission Drive, in reference to reports of a large number of teenagers loitering in the park and multiple gunshots being heard. An investigation revealed that an argument between several subjects led to one of the subjects firing his handgun.

After an 18-year-old was arrested for doing donuts on a field at Mission Hills Park in Henderson Monday night, police told FOX5 that park is a hotspot.

The shooting suspect was identified as 19-year-old Robert Berry. There were no injuries reported, but property damage was found on a nearby residence and vehicle as a result of the shooting.

Berry was taken into custody and booked into the Henderson Detention Center on the following offenses: two counts of discharging a firearm into an occupied structure and five counts of discharging a weapon where a person is endangered.

Berry has an appearance scheduled in Henderson Justice Court on July 1.
